Morning Meditations with Coach Dave

When you smile, the whole world smiles with you.


It's a beautiful sentiment, isn't it? But it's not always easy to live by. Life can be tough, and sometimes it feels like there's not much to smile about. But even in those difficult times, it's important to remember that a smile can go a long way. Not just for the people around you, but for yourself as well.


Being kind to yourself is crucial, especially when things aren't going as planned. Give yourself a break and acknowledge that you're doing the best you can. And be thankful for the things you have. It's easy to focus on what we don't have, but taking a moment to appreciate what we do have can help put things into perspective.


Learning to smile after the pain is a process. It's okay to feel sad or angry, but it's important to not stay there forever. Take a deep breath, find something to be grateful for, and let yourself smile. It might not be a big smile at first, but with practice, it will come.


Repeat after me: "I will be thankful today."


Take a moment to say it out loud, or even just to yourself. Believe it. Embrace it. Let it be your mantra for the day. And remember, when you smile, the whole world smiles with you.
